Mastering
For a professional sound, every recording needs a finishing touch. Many people do not realize of how much importance proper mastering is to their end result. Think of it as adding the icing onto the cake. Mastering is the final step of your audio process. A final step before the distribution or manufacturing of a music record.
Once you have finished arranging and mixing, your track will need a mastering session. If you want to compete with top artists, you cannot neglect to have your recording mastered. Not only will it give your recording punch and depth, details will be emphasized and a better balance between frequencies and dynamics will be created.
It’s in mastering that all mixes are fine-tuned so they can translate well in every type of speaker and on different sound systems.
In this digital age where online music stores are a big part of music distribution making sure your music translates well and that it is optimised for every type of format available is also a big part of what mastering is about. We are prepared to master for almost every medium available, be it an audio CD, vinyl or the new “Mastered for iTunes” format.
It is essential to have your audio work mastered. And by that, we don’t mean simply increasing the volume.
You are welcome to attend the mastering process. This way, you can review each step of the way, so that the final sound is exactly how you want it to be.
